...Jam and Tea went on a little Trip...

{Out in the Wilderness}

...As anyone involved in the Wedding Industry will know - there is no such thing as a 'Summer Holiday'... Thus, the Jam and Tea family take off somewhere glorious during the Easter Half Term for some family fun. This year we spent an utterly, heart-breakingly wonderful week with 'Country House Hideout' at Acton Scott in beautiful Shropshire... Oh my gosh, what can I say, other than we left a little piece of our heart in that little wooden shack of ours. The children and I cried all the way home (it was a long 4 hours for my poor husband!) We had THE BEST time! (apart from the crying :)

I wanted to share some images with you of what our gorgeous little cabin was like and what we got up to... Enjoy!

{Our Lovely Tent}

Arhhhh... This is where we spent our days (it was one wet week), playing 'Scrabble', 'Happy Family's' and 'Cluedo'. We crafted, painted, star gazed, cooked, danced and did plenty of laughing. Our little stove kept us toasty warm along with the masses of blankets and eiderdowns I bought along, anticipating that we would actually freeze! It was our cozy little den... Note: Oodles of bunting and lanterns were hung basically everywhere in which my tall hubbie spent 10 days bending and stepping over - he is sooooo tolerant x

{Gramophone}

Our encampment was complete luxury - we had a hot tub (jeeeezzz it was cold getting in that thing!) Country House Hideout even supplied a gramophone, coffee bean grinder, proper quilts, fluffy pillows, silky linen sheets and every possible item of kitchenware you could possibly wish for... Oh and we had our very own outdoor shower - an actual bucket with a hose which you had to pump, but it was hot and lovely and totally invigorating!

{Yummy Fresh Coffee}

There was a separate tent called 'The Discovery Tent' which housed a telescope, microscope, extra bunks for visitors, paints, canvases, books, a little wind up radio and a vintage morse code telephone thang which was great fun... Funny enough with all of these superb supplies to hand, the children just wanted to jump in puddles and fling sticks - we would all leave for a little exploration of the woods each equipped with an 'item' and after five minutes I would be carrying the lot! This goes to show that children do indeed just need space and the occasional tree to have fun.

{This is 'Herb' - one of Bunnies which we made from scraps}

{Beautiful Bottles}

Check out these babies! Swoooooon... What I would do to have a collection of 1900 pharmacy bottles such as these beauts! CHH have 4 Houses to choose from - Acton Scott was our top choice because it is near 'Ironbridge/Blists Hill' which houses a working Victorian Town (as seen on the telly 'The Victorian Pharmacy'). We LOVED this place, the children learnt so much, as did I.

{Want that Cuboard!}

Happy memories... Thank you Acton Scott and Country House Hideout. We heart youuuuuu x
